Don Steigman, President

With over three decades of distinguished experience in healthcare administration, Don Steigman is a visionary leader renowned for his transformative impact on major health systems in Florida. He has served both as an executive leader and trusted advisor, guiding organizations through complex mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships. Don’s expertise in operational optimization, financial turnaround, and strategic planning makes him the ideal choice to lead WoodBridge.

Previously, Mr. Steigman served as President and COO of Jackson Health System in Florida, where he oversaw the operations of seven hospitals, led strategic initiatives, and managed a workforce of over 13,000 employees. Jackson Health System, a $7 billion nonprofit public hospital system for Miami-Dade County, Florida, is one of the largest academic medical centers in the nation and has a collaborative academic partnership with the University of Miami. Under his guidance, Jackson Health System thrived, further solidifying his reputation for excellence and leadership.

Before his tenure at Jackson Health System, Mr. Steigman spent 13 years as a senior executive overseeing a major 16-hospital system in Florida, one of the most competitive markets in the healthcare industry. During this time, he trained fellow leaders, increased physician and employee satisfaction, and was responsible for the strategic and operational management of 15 acute care hospitals, one rehabilitation hospital, and non-hospital entities across Florida and Alabama. In addition, Mr. Steigman was responsible for the development and operationalization of a hospital partnership with the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida.

His leadership has been recognized nationwide and in 2017 Mr. Steigman received the Top 25 COO award by Modern Healthcare. Beyond his hospital and health system expertise, he is an industry leader, serving as the past chairman of the Florida Hospital Association and as a member on countless other boards, including the American Liver Foundation, Florida Chapter and the Federation of American Health Systems.

Mr. Steigman received a B.S. Business, Health Systems and Management Science degree from the University of Connecticut. and a M.B.A., Health Care Administration degree from The George Washington University.
